Jingyao Zhao

Research Scientist

Jingyao is a research scientist in the lab, where he focuses on establishing mouse models and investigating inflammation driven by novel somatic mutations. He earned his PhD from the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he studied the regulatory mechanisms underlying hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal. Prior to joining the lab, he conducted postdoctoral research in T-cell immunology at Columbia University Medical Center. Outside the lab, Jingyao enjoys spending time with his family and taking his son to playgrounds around New York City.
